Begin a comfortable 1-hour drive towards the volcano area, enjoying the picturesque journey.

Our first stop will be a charming local agritourism venue, providing the perfect backdrop to taste some Sicilian delicacies.

Delight your taste buds with local flavours while soaking in the stunning natural surroundings.

Easy Hike and Geological Wonders

Take a relaxed, informative walk (about 1 hour) to explore extinct Silvestri Craters at 2000 metres above sea level.

Enjoy wide views of the Ionian Coast, from Taormina to Syracuse. Along the way, you’ll see traces of both ancient and recent lava flows and different types of volcanic rock.

We’ll stop at a few points to talk about Etna’s unique plant life and what makes it so special. You’ll also hear about the myths linked to the volcano, the latest research, and how people live at the foot of Etna.

As the sun sets, the light gets softer, the colours warmer, and the trails much quieter than in the morning.

We’ll stop at a scenic viewpoint to take in the spectacular evening light and capture the changing colours of the volcano at sunset.

Relax and Return to Catania

Wind down and relax as you make your way back to the starting point.

Arrive back in Catania around 20:00 – 20:30 pm, concluding the half-day evening tour on Mount Etna.
